I grew up in a small town in south-central Oregon called Lakeview. I attended Oregon State University for college. I have had the chance to experience some things: a one-room (okay four) schoolhouse, living on a ranch, rattlesnakes, swimming in a creek, working on a computer in the forest, driving through a cattle drive, being in a band directed by my dad, skiing/snowboarding, lightning photography, working at a pool (lifeguarding, coaching, managing), working for a church, driving across the country (3100 miles), sleeping in my car on a snowy mountain, playing in a marching band at a college bowl game, passing out at an all-company meeting, being in love, cubicle dwelling, being married, and much more.
I currently work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina as a web developer. I am primarily focused on supporting the member website, but also get to participate in a variety of other interesting projects.
In my ‘spare’ time I also like to dabble in Python programming, 3D modelling, illustration, and personal projects spanning a wide variety of disciplines.
I also enjoy doing independent consulting, design, development, and support. I accept all kinds of projects, and in an effort to rekindle the barter system have occasionally accepted baked goods in exchange for my services.
